The Blue River Arts Council is bridging cultures, building community, and boosting economy by resurrecting the Isis Theatre in Crete, Nebraska, and providing fun and artistic adventures for all of our diverse community.

Isis Theatre

Finally this summer, after a capital campaign plagued by a pandemic and historic inflation, the Arts Council completed the $2,200,000 renovation of the Isis Theatre. As redesigned, it is a movie theater – and a space that will be available for parties, live music, children’s theater and even corporate meetings. The hanging of the new marquee this summer was a joyous event for all of the community. This project was only possible because of the years of work done by BRAC volunteers. They have raised more than $400,000 locally and brought more than $1,000,000 into the community via foundations and governmental grants. More than 80 local businesses and families are represented on the Theatre’s brand new donor wall representing those who invested more than $2,500 for the project. Crete truly needed the Isis Theatre and the work that the Arts Council is doing.
While funds are still needed, the Isis Theatre reopened officially on July 19, 2024! Check out the next shows at www.creteisistheatre.com or better yet, come see the Theatre in person. We would love to show you this historic renovation.
